Agency wins big at ADFX, Kinsale Shark Awards and Checkout National FMCG awards

In the Company of Huskies is celebrating some incredible wins this week – from picking up the Grand Prix at the IAPI ADFX Awards, five sharks at the Kinsale Shark Awards and best campaign at a top FMCG show.

Huskies and Spark Foundry were awarded the Grand Prix at the Advertising Effectiveness Awards for their Nissan campaign ‘A Micra Revolution’. It tells the story of how a bespoke Irish campaign rescued the Nissan Micra brand in a declining car market.

Nissan took the brave decision not to use the existing European campaign assets for the launch of the redesigned Micra. Instead they invested in an Irish campaign in a bid to revitalise the brand in Ireland. The result was a radical departure from previous car advertising. The ‘No More Nice Car’ campaign converted a generation of brand rejecters into brand supporters and was a huge commercial success. Nissan doubled its share of the small car segment to 10% in Ireland, outperforming all other European markets.

Mark Earls, one of the ADFX judges says it was “a brilliant story of creativity, bravery and transformational results”. In addition to winning the Grand Prix, Huskies also received two golds and two silvers at ADFX for their work on St. Vincent de Paul. On top of this, Huskies won five sharks at the Kinsale Shark Awards and best advertising campaign for the retailer Londis at the Checkout National FMCG Awards.
