New 'Odour Detect' from Air Wick automatically detects bad odours and deals with them without you having to think about it

Euro RSCG London has launched a 20 second TV campaign for Air Wick to launch the first ever automatic air spray with odour sensor technology. The ad, originally created by Euro RSCG BETC Paris and adapted by Euro RSCG London aired nationally from Monday July 11th launching in the Coronation Street commercial break at 8.45pm.

Stefan Gaa, Marketing Director at Reckitt Benckiser says; "This highly engaging piece of creative does a wonderful job at launching what is a truly ground breaking piece of technology in the category".

The ad dramatises how Air Wick Odour Detect detects bad odours and overcomes them without you having to worry. We see our heroine at home.  She places the product on a shelf and adjusts the dial on her stereo.

The LED lights from the graphic equaliser on her stereo are transported all around the walls of her room as the product sprays its fragrance. The room is awash with dancing green lights.  As the villain of the piece, the smelly dog, walks into the room, the lights change from green to red as they detect the bad odour.  Fortunately, the Air Wick Odour Detect senses it too and releases an extra burst of fragrance to compensate. The wall transforms back to green and the colourful lights spread across the room to outside, where they affect the skyscrapers on the landscape, turning the whole city into a large graphic equaliser, to the delight of our watching heroine.

Gareth Davies, Business Director at Euro RSCG London says; "This memorable and very colourful execution brings to life the benefit of this revolutionary product in a very impactful way”.
