Liz Jackson, from C4’s Secret Millionaire and business owner of Great Guns Marketing talks about why the South East is a great place for women to start a business and the importance of International Women’s Day.

Extract from podcast: “Women have so many choices  . . . for me starting and running a business gives me loads of flexibility in having a family and creating a lifestyle, having affluence and raising a family without compromising. . . .I think the South East is an excellent place to start a business.”

First celebrated in 1911, International Women's Day is celebrating its 99th birthday. The annual global celebration recognises the economic, political and social achievements of women, with thousands of events being held around the world.

Business Link is celebrating International Women's Day (Monday 8th March) with events across the South East. Many of the women attending are planning, or in the early stages of, running their own businesses. Often coping with difficult circumstances, these female entrepreneurs benefit from Business Link support to develop  the personal confidence and skills they need to get involved in enterprise.

Call Ann or Katie on 02380 613255 or 07739 142219 to find out more about your local event.
